Letchworth

This development coincided with the formation of a new adult team at - Letchworth Garden City Eagles - which began its first season one division below Baldock Town Letchworth, and plays at Pixmore - the junior club's home, next door to the County Ground. The adult team grew out of the junior Letchworth Garden City Eagles, formed in 1979, which now has over 400 active members, including two girls' teams. The club attracts good sponsorship and regularly picks up trophies. The two clubs meet in their first competitive fixture on 20 March 2010, Eagles winning the Aubrey Cup quarter final 2-1.

Spirella Building

The Spirella Building was created between 1912 and 1920 as the UK manufacturing base of the Spirella Corset Company. Its founder, William Wallace Kincaid, (1868 - 1964) an American entrepreneur, came to Letchworth Garden City after hearing about the establishment of a new community - the world's first Garden City - and the man behind it, Ebenezer Howard.

Howards End

Zadie Smith's On Beauty is a modern retelling of and homage to Howards End.

Little Wymondley

Little Wymondley is a village situated between Hitchin and Stevenage in Hertfordshire. Paradoxically, it is larger than its near neighbour Great Wymondley. It has several interesting houses, including the moated Bury of the 16th and 17th centuries, the fine 17th century Hall, the late Georgian Wymondley House, and Wymondley Priory, an early 13th century foundation turned into a house in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Stevenage

Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother laid the Foundation Stone in July 1956 and was also present at the consecration by the Bishop of St Albans, the Right Reverend Michael Gresford-Jones, on Advent Sunday 27 November 1960. The frame is constructed from a 'continuous pour' of concrete into moulds creating interlacing arches and leaving no apparent joints. There are twelve Purbeck marble columns about the High Altar and the external walls are clad in panels faced with Normandy pebble. The campanile houses the loudspeakers for an electro-acoustic carillon.
