Mulbarton, Norfolk

Facilities include an Adnams' public house, The World's End, a social club, 2 convenience stores (One Stop and CO-OP), a church, and a fish-and-chip shop. There is a irregular bus service to Norwich, with buses coming when they feel like it.[citation needed] In the centre of the village is a large common, and a pond where many ducks live.

Yaxley, Suffolk

16th century Yaxley Hall has a fanciful Gothick facade and, according to Pevsner, 'a composite picture' including older range with mullioned and transomed windows. Two wings burnt down in 1922. Recently, the famous haunted painting of Henrietta Nelson has returned after an absence of nearly a century.

King's Lynn

West Norfolk Council are considering reopening the railway route between the King's Lynn railway station and the Hunstanton railway station. The possibility of reinstating the line was proposed at a meeting of the council's Regeneration and Environment Panel on 29 October 2008. The re-opening of the route was last discussed in the 1990s. The environmental case for reviving the line and relieving road congestion in and around Hunstanton is considered to be even stronger.[27]
