Mawsley

A local One Stop Shop was officially opened on Saturday 8 March 2008, which is situated in Barnwell Court. A hairdresser and nursery is also in the court. With office spaces, restaurant and take away spaces still available for rent. A bistro/cafe/coffee shop called The Sanctuary is also in barnwell court.

Kettering

It is unlikely however that Kettering itself existed as a village earlier than the 10th century (the county of Northampton itself is not referenced in documents before 1011).[12] Before this time the Kettering area was most likely populated by a thin scattering of family farmsteads.[7] The first historical reference of Kettering is in a charter of 956 AD in which King Edwy granted ten "cassati" of land to Aelfsige the Goldsmith. The boundaries delineated in this charter would have been recognisable to most inhabitants for the last thousand years and can still be walked today. It is possible that Aelfsige the Goldsmith gave Kettering to the monastery of Peterborough, as King Edgar in a charter dated 972 confirmed it to that monastery.

Kettering Borough Council

Kettering Borough Council is a local authority in Kettering Borough, composed of 45 local councillors and currently controlled by the Conservatives, who have controlled the Council since the 2003 local elections, where they gained control from Labour with a majority of 15. Having retained control in the 2007 local elections, the Council is currently led by Cllr. Jim Hakewill.

Howards End

Howards End is a novel by E. M. Forster, first published in 1910, which tells a story of class struggle in turn-of-the-century England. The main theme is the difficulties, troubles, and also the benefits of relationships between members of different social classes. Many critics, including Lionel Trilling, consider Howards End "undoubtedly Forster's masterpiece".[1]

Little Wymondley

Little Wymondley is a village situated between Hitchin and Stevenage in Hertfordshire. Paradoxically, it is larger than its near neighbour Great Wymondley. It has several interesting houses, including the moated Bury of the 16th and 17th centuries, the fine 17th century Hall, the late Georgian Wymondley House, and Wymondley Priory, an early 13th century foundation turned into a house in the 16th and 17th centuries.
