Haslemere

The town was one of the rotten boroughs, but recovered with the construction of the Portsmouth Direct Line, which connected Haslemere with London Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour railway stations. The town became a fashionable place to live and continues to be a popular commuter town, still served by Haslemere railway station.

Liss

Serving the community, St Peter's Church(West)Liss was built in stone in the 13th century, replacing the earlier timber structure. The Chancel, parts of tower, and octagonal piers of arcade date from C.13. The existing Octagonal font, mullioned and transomed window in south aisle and indeed the distinctive weatherboard top stage of tower are later.

Fleet Pond

Fleet Pond is a nature reserve in Fleet, Hampshire, UK. It covers an area of approx. 141 acres (0.6 kmē) much of which is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The pond itself is approximately 53 acres (0.2kmē) and is the largest freshwater lake in Hampshire. Originally there was a second pond, the exact location of which is now unknown. The remaining pond has been reduced in size by silting and development including the London and South Western Railway, and also by draining undertaken during the Second World War, when it was felt it provided too good a landmark for the nearby National Gas Turbine Establishment. The pond and surrounding area remain under threat, due to the ongoing development of Fleet.

Bordon

The nearest railway station is 4 miles (6.4 km) southeast of the town, at Liphook. The town used to have its own railway station on the Bordon Light Railway but this closed in 1966. The Association of Train Operating Companies has proposed that a new railway line serve the town.[7]

Whitesheet Hill

The site was excavated by Sir Richard Hoare, 2nd Baronet in the early 19th century:
