Wadborough

Wadborough is a small village 2 miles outside Pershore and 7 miles from Worcester. The village is in Worcestershire, England. The village is an old farming community, with its nearest church a mile away in Pirton.

The Alice Ottley School

Millest was succeeded by Christine Sibbit in 1986 who led the school until her retirement, when she was succeeded by Morag Chapman. During Sibbit's time, the school closed its boarding houses and became a day school only. Chapman has the distinction of being the last headmistress of the Alice Ottley School.

Worcester

Worcester was the site of the Battle of Worcester (3 September 1651), when Charles II's attempt to regain the crown by force was decisively defeated, in the fields a little to the west and south of the city, near the village of Powick. After being defeated, Charles returned to his headquarters in what is now known as King Charles house in the Cornmarket, before fleeing in disguise to Boscobel House in Shropshire and his eventual escape to France. Worcester was one of the cities loyal to the King in that war, for which it was given the epithet "Fidelis Civitas" ("The Faithful City"). This motto has been incorporated into the city's coat of arms.[2]

Barnards Green

The centre of Barnard's Green is marked by the Twelve Apostles Island, a pear-shaped traffic roundabout in the central shopping area with its Art Deco style memorial bus shelter, while several large housing developments around the main shopping area such as Pound Bank, are referred to by more local names. Almost every kind of urban commerce is represented in the immediate area of the island by around 60 shops and offices, include including convenience stores, a supermarket, banks, real estate agents, a small industrial complex, retirement homes, a guest house, law offices, and a variety of snack bars, and traditional and ethnic take-aways.

Great Malvern Priory

It is possible that the same person who carved the misericords at Worcester Cathedral and Ripple St Mary, was responsible for the 15th century misericords, as they bear more than a family resemblance.
