How to Implement Color Coding during the Move
Published on Friday, 10 December 2010

How to Implement Color Coding during the Move The whole process of removals can be overwhelming. But if you establish a system, things will be easier. One of the tested systems in moving is color coding. This is typically used in packing. But it is actually most useful in unloading things and unpacking.
Since you will have family and friends helping you during the move, things would be faster if they know where to put each box. If you hire a removals company, following a color code would also make their work faster. This would not only make the move smoother but even cheaper as well.
The trick really is to assign a color for every room. Then stick the same color to the boxes that will go to the same room. This way, people carrying the boxes during unloading would just match the colors to know where each box should go. You can even number the boxes on the color stickers so you will know which boxes to unpack first. This would not only make unpacking but make your stay in your new home more convenient right in your first days there too.
Using the color coding system is simple. But it will do a lot to help facilitate an easier move. It will even save your things from damage as well.
