The village centre is located on the main A68 road which runs between Edinburgh and Darlington and the village crossroads allow easy access to Consett, the North Pennines and Stanhope. To the northeast lies another small village called Moorside.Pelton, DurhamPelton is a village in County Durham, in England. It is located to the northwest of Chester-le-Street. The village of West Pelton is located some distance to the west; separated from it by a few villages and closer to Stanley than to central Chester-le-Street.
