Ravernet

Ravernet (from Irish: Ráth Bhearnait meaning "ringfort of the gap") is a small village and townland in County Down, Northern Ireland, 3km south of Lisburn, and about the same distance north east of Hillsborough. It is to the south of the Ravernet River and close to the Sprucefield roundabout and the M1 motorway. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 559 people.

Hillsborough Castle

Many of the crucial talks leading up to the signing of the Belfast Agreement took place in the secretariat attached to the Castle. Leaders such as Gerry Adams (Sinn Féin), John Hume (Social Democratic and Labour Party), David Trimble (Ulster Unionist Party) and, on occasion, the Rev. Ian Paisley met secretaries of state to discuss sensitive political and constitutional issues. It was also used in January 2010 for talks between British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen and representatives of the Democratic Unionist Party and Sinn Féin over the crisis over Northern Irish policing which threatened to derail the Northern Irish government.

Wallace Park

The Wallace Park in Lisburn, Northern Ireland was bequethed to the people of Lisburn by Sir Richard Wallace. It is a pleasant park with tree-lined walkways. There is a number of football pitches, a duck pond and a children's play area. The grounds of Lisburn Cricket Club are in the centre of the park.

Lambeg, County Antrim

Lisburn

Lisburn (Irish: Lios na gCearrbhach) is a large town in Northern Ireland. It is situated south-west of Belfast on the River Lagan, which is the boundary between County Antrim and County Down. Lisburn forms part of the Belfast metropolitan area. It had a population of 71,465 people in the 2001 Census and a population density of 243 per km².[1]
