Dechmont Law

The hill is used mostly for forestry plantations, and it was here in 1979 that Bob Taylor, a forestry worker had an alleged encounter with a UFO in a clearing, which he claimed dragged him along the ground. Police were called in to investigate, and found odd marks and indentations on the ground, but these did not correspond exactly with Taylor's claim, and it has been said that they had been made there by other workers, who may have stored ladders and equipment on the site. It is, however, still considered one of the most significant "Close Encounters" on Scottish soil, and often referred to as "the Livingston Incident".

Livingston, West Lothian

Livingston was built as part of the New Towns Act of 1946, in part to ease overcrowding in Glasgow. Livingston was the fourth new town of five. The others were East Kilbride, Glenrothes, Cumbernauld and Irvine.

Almondvale Stadium

Almondvale Stadium is located near the centre of the Town of Livingston, approx 10 miles to the west of Edinburgh and 30 miles east of Glasgow. It is named along with the Almondvale shopping centre over the road after the area of the town in which it is situated.

Dunfermline

The main bus terminus is located on a site to the north of the town centre which provides seating, toilets and a cafe.[69] Two railway stations serve the town ? Dunfermline Town to the south of the town centre and Dunfermline Queen Margaret to the east of the town close to Queen Margaret Hospital.[70][71] Nearby stations also exist at Rosyth, Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay to the south of the town.
