Marlow Bottom

Marlow Bottom is 25 to 30 minutes walk from the centre of Marlow town, and the river Thames. It has shops, including a newsagent, vet, butcher, chemist, off-licence, dog grooming parlour and a fish & chip shop, a large primary school, (Burford School), a public house, a private members club (The Barn Club, for valley residents), a village hall and two small churches (Anglican and Methodist) which form a Local Ecumenical Partnership "The Valley Church", where the local Boy Scout and Girl Guide groups and similar voluntary groups meet. Marlow Bottom is also home to the Rebellion Beer Company, an award winning local brewery producing regular and seasonal beers.

Marlow By-pass Bridge

The area underneath the bridge is used for boat storage by the adjacent Scout Water Centre at Longridge.

Marlow Bridge

The current suspension bridge was designed by William Tierney Clark and was built between 1829 and 1832, replacing a wooden bridge further downstream which collapsed in 1828.[2] It is the only suspension bridge across the non-tidal Thames.[4] The Széchenyi Chain Bridge, spanning the River Danube in Budapest, was also designed by William Clark and it is a larger scale version of Marlow bridge.

Reading, Berkshire

Reading has two private hospitals, the Berkshire Independent Hospital in Coley Park and the Dunedin Hospital situated on the main A4 Bath Road.[52][53]

Kendrick School

There is a Kendrick House system where girls are sorted into either Cedars, Sidmouth or Palmer house. The girls represent their house in competitions such as Sports Day, Interform Dance, House Drama or House Cook Off (Coming Soon). Girls can also win House Points for their house by doing extremely well in class. There are elections for heads of houses from girls in year 12 to take over until mid-Year 13. There are also elections for head girl and the head girl team. The current head girl is Anca Dervis (elected in 2010).
