Aylesbury

Other operators running to Aylesbury include Tiger Line (a name used by Woottens Luxury Travel) and Red Rose Travel.

Sedrup

Sedrup (formerly Southwarp) is a hamlet in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located south west of the town of Aylesbury, close to the villages of Stone, Bishopstone and Hartwell which also provide the name of the civil parish within which Sedrup lies.

King's Head Inn, Aylesbury

The Solar room, built directly above the Great Hall was the master bedroom and, according to local folklore, it was the suite where King Henry VIII wooed Anne Boleyn in 1533.[5][7] It is claimed that Oliver Cromwell stayed at the King's Head in 1651 after the Battle of Worcester[7] and received the thanks of Parliament in Market Square, although there is no evidence for this. However if Cromwell did stay here, this is the room that he would have stayed in. Flintlock pistols and swords were found earlier in the 20th Century in a 'priest hole' and suggest that Roundhead troops were at one time garrisoned at the property. The roof is Victorian except for the original tie beam and Queen post frame in the back wall. The room was originally accessed from the ground floor by a newel stair, which is a spiral staircase inside a tower.

RAF Daws Hill

In 2002, the UK Ministry of Defence proposed to close RAF Daws Hill some years in the future, turning the 50 acres (0.2 square kilometre) of land over to other public and private use and relocating American Naval personnel and activities to other locations near London, particularly RAF Uxbridge. The plan apparently fizzled, however, when the US Navy voiced its preference to remain. High Wycombe, desiring to build at least 400 new houses by 2011 for its growing population, considered the land ideal for up to 600 houses; but nearby British residents also rejected the proposal because of the changes that it would entail, including increased traffic on relatively quiet roads.

Eden, High Wycombe

The Tesco building is considered by some to out of place, compared to the new, modern-looking buildings. Construction of the new centre begun in October 2005[4] and was to take about two and a half years. As well as the new building containing the new shopping centre, a new multi-storey car park was built to connect with the existing Newlands Car Park and the old part refurbished. The new bus station was built alongside the shopping centre, with direct access to the shops from the bus station. The old bus garage was viewed as dangerous at night with little lighting so the new station was welcomed. The new bus station opened in July 2006.
