Deal Castle

Deal Castle is located in Deal, Kent, England, between Walmer Castle and the now lost Sandown Castle (grid reference TR378521).

Walmer Castle

The castle is now owned and managed by English Heritage.[1]

Sandwich, Kent

The White Mill is the only survivor. It was built in 1760 and worked by wind until 1929, then by engine until 1957. Today it has been restored and is a heritage and folk museum. The Black Mill was a smock mill which burnt down circa 1910.[25] There was also a post mill which stood near the Black Mill, and was worked in conjunction with it.[25] A smock mill on the Millwall was also known as the Town Mill. It was burnt down. Another mill of unknown type is known to have stood on the Millwall.[25] A sixth windmill stood to the north west of Sandwich, and west of the railway. It formed a group of three with the Black Mill and its neighbour.[25]

Richborough

Served by extensive freight sidings on the South Eastern Railway, and to a lesser extent by the East Kent Light Railway, Port Richborough was the home to the world's first roll-on/roll-off ferry service.

Chatham House Grammar School

In the senior school (years 9-13) the colour of the tie remains green, but patterned with diagonal stripes to indicate house (colours shown below).
