Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace (pronounced /Ë?blÉ?nÉ?m/, blen-um) is a large and monumental country house situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. It is the only non-Episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace. The palace, one of England's largest houses, was built between 1705 and circa 1724. UNESCO recognised the palace as a World Heritage Site in 1987.

New Theatre Oxford

At the instigation of members of both town and gown a company was formed to raise money for a theatre to be used by University and town players as well as by professionals. In February 1886 the Oxford University Dramatic Society opened the second New Theatre with 'Twelfth Night'. Designed by H.G.W. Drinkwater and with a 1000-seat capacity the second New Theatre was damaged by fire in 1892 and altered in 1908, when the seating capacity was increased to 1200.

Westgate Shopping Centre (locally known as Westgate) is a shopping centre in central Oxford, England. It is located at the west end of Queen Street, where the west gate of the city of Oxford used to be situated. A car park, including a multistory section, is attached to the shopping centre, with access from Oxpens Road. Plans to expand the shopping centre ? tripling it in size ? are well underway, with construction originally planned to start January 2009. However due to the economic downturn in the UK, particularly in the South East, the project has been postponed indefinitely [1] with the possibility that the project will be scrapped. [2]

Queen Street, Oxford

Queen Street is a shopping street in central Oxford, England. It is one-way (west to east) for buses and taxis, two-way for cyclists outside main shopping hours, and forbidden for cars. It runs west from the centre of Oxford at Carfax. Here it adjoins Cornmarket Street to the north (also pedestrianized), the High Street continuing east, and St Aldate's to the south.
