Boscastle

The Rector of Boscastle is responsible for seven churches in the district: Forrabury (St Symphorian), Minster (St Merthiana), St Juliot, Lesnewth (St Michael and All Angels), Trevalga (St Petroc), Otterham (St Denis) and Davidstow (St David).[4]

Pilton, Devon

Pilton was originally separate to Barnstaple. It has been subsumed as a suburb of the nearby town due to ribbon development in the 1930s.

Barnstaple Town railway station

Barnstaple Town was an intermediate station on the L&SWR line to Ilfracombe. The station replaced Barnstaple Quay ? opened in 1854, and renamed Barnstaple Town in 1886 ? which had been located on the Junction side of the Commercial Road crossing, a short distance up-line. The total cost of rebuilding the station in its present location was about £6000, of which £2000 was contributed by the L&B.

Pilton railway station

Pilton Yard, in the village of Pilton, to the north of Barnstaple was, between 1895 and 1935, the main depot and operating centre of the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway ('L&B'), a narrow gauge line that ran through Exmoor from Barnstaple to Lynton and Lynmouth in north Devon. Goods facilities were also provided at Pilton, but passengers were catered for at the nearby LSWR station, Barnstaple Town, which provided connections with trains on the standard gauge branch line to Ilfracombe. The L&B's main offices were also based at Pilton, in a building formerly belonging to the Tannery which had earlier occupied the site, and which took over the site after the railway closed.

Camelford

Camelford (Cornish: Ryskammel) is a small town in north Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is situated on the River Camel a few miles north-west of the highest part of Bodmin Moor. The only large industrial enterprises in the area are the slate quarry at Delabole and the cheese factory at Davidstow but there is a small industrial estate at Highfield. Camelford Station was some distance from the town and closed in 1966: on the site is now the British Cycling Museum.Camelford is part of the North Cornwall parliamentary constituency, and it was the location of the administrative headquarters of Camelford Rural District before 1973, and before the improvements in transport a market town for the surrounding agricultural area. The Atlantic Highway passes directly through the town centre: the bypass planned many years ago has never been built.
