The Boulevard (stadium)

In 2000 the after Hull FC left its home ground a new promoter gained a lease from Hull City Council for two years with the intention of running greyhounds once again. Whilst they were negotiating for a possible third year the stadium's future looked in doubt due to a hostile takeover by a well known Stainforth promoter and an accountant Philip Webster of Cherry Burton. He failed to file a new lease and do repairs the council considered necessary so they refused to extend the lease.

Boothferry Park

Boothferry Park was a football stadium in Kingston upon Hull, and was home to the football club Hull City for over 50 years from 31 August 1946 until December 2002, when they moved to the Kingston Communications Stadium.

KC Stadium

The stadium's seats are mostly black, with a band of white and amber seats around the circumference.[1] White and amber seats form the word Hull in the north and south stands. In the Ideal Standard East Stand, the seats form an image of a coronet,[10] a symbol of the city that also appears in the club crest for Hull FC[4] and in the coat of arms of the city council.[15] Black, white, and amber were chosen in order to remain neutral toward the colours of its two tenants: black and white for Hull FC and black and amber for Hull City A.F.C.[1] The blue and gold of owner Hull City Council appear in the stadium's four external columns.[1]

Skegness

Nottingham, Grantham, Boston and Sleaford have direct connections, while popular places such as Leicester, Derby and Kettering require a change at Nottingham. The track from Boston to Skegness, although once part of a busy longer-distance line, is not suited to large heavy trains, therefore line speeds are generally restricted to a maximum of 30 mph (for locomotive-hauled trains).

Boston, Lincolnshire

In 1607 a group of pilgrims from Nottinghamshire led by William Brewster and William Bradford attempted to escape pressure to conform with the teaching of the English church by going to The Netherlands from Boston. At that time unsanctioned emigration was illegal, and they were brought before the court in the Guildhall. Most of the pilgrims were released fairly soon and the following year, set sail for The Netherlands, settling in Leiden. In 1620, several of these were among the group who moved to New England in the Mayflower.
