The Creative Industries have been cited as playing a vital role in the regeneration of Scarborough ? a report in 2005 estimated that they comprised 19% of the town's economy. The creative industries were also a major focus of Scarborough's winning entry in the 2008 Enterprising Britain competition with a representative from Woodend Creative Workspace and scarborough-based Electric Angel Design representing the town in the Yorkshire and Humber regional heats. In the finals in London on 16 October 2008 Scarborough won the title of Britain's Most Enterprising Town,[7] and subsequently went on to win the European Enterprise Awards as Great Britain's representative, on 13 May 2009 in Prague.[8]
The ground was first opened in 1898, when Scarborough FC moved from playing at Scarborough Cricket Club. It was then called the Athletic Ground. In 1988, under a sponsorship deal, Scarborough FC sold the naming rights of the Athletic Ground to McCain Foods and until its closure in 2007 the stadium was known as the McCain Stadium.

Pelaw (pronounced/?piːl?ː/) is a district that forms part of the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead in Tyne and Wear, in north-east England. It lies in between the older settlements of Heworth to the West and Bill Quay to the East with Wardley to the south and the southern bank of the river Tyne forming the northern border.
Heworth railway station opened in November 1979, serving trains on the Newcastle to South Shields and Newcastle to Sunderland lines. The adjacent Heworth Metro Station, opened in November 1981 on the former site of the National School, operates as a bus/Metro interchange and is an important transport hub for the area, linking townships such as Washington to the Tyne and Wear Metro.
